ABSTRACT
The paper considers how hydrogeomechanical processes affect slope stability in open coal mining structures in the Kuznetsk Coal Basin (Kuzbass). Results from natural surveying of changes in the stress-strain state and properties of rock in the production-induced and natural masses during operation of hydraulic fills and dumping of spoil heaps over areas with the occurrence of poorly water-saturated sediments are used as the database for the study.
