ABSTRACT

Conducting polymers/carbon nanotube (CNT) nanocomposites (NCs) have emerged as one of the most fascinating polymers in the field of material science and engineering. Their marvelous resourceful properties make them useful in every field of research. They find application in varying arenas such as supercapacitors, sensors, electronic materials, drug release, biosensors, tissue engineering, as well as stimuli-responsive and biomimetic polymeric materials. The chapter discusses role of conducting polymers and CNTs with their vast applications as NCs and their significant contribution in materials science and engineering as well as their prospects.
