ABSTRACT

The quality of interaction between technical and social elements of the work system is decisively shaped by the particular corporate culture. The digital transformation presents opportunities as well as risks in terms of the safety and health of people in work systems. The impacts of the change dynamics in digital transformation make it necessary to continuously design work systems. Work system models based on ISO standards provide a meaningful and useful framework. The evaluation of the rapidly changing influences on safety and health of workers is less and less able to fall back on design insights from research in the work sciences. Working time and location are becoming more flexible, hand in hand with the breakdown of the boundaries between private and working life. The Stress-Strain Concept is used in an assessment of working conditions, in particular to analyze the mental work stress.
