ABSTRACT
This chapter provides insights into the transfer of technology from universities regarding innovative high-tech startups in Berlin, Europe’s no. 1 startup hub. Thereby, the case of Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), a pioneer of entrepreneurship support activities in Germany, is presented. Berlin is considered as one of the most entrepreneurship-friendly cities in Europe. One of the country’s oldest and largest technical university in Germany and one of the major players is TU Berlin. Within its Center for Entrepreneurship, a successful incubation program for high-tech startups has been created.
