ABSTRACT

The deep cryogenic treatment of 2XXX series, 3XXX series, 6XXX series and 7XXX series of deformed aluminum alloy, and their castings, are analyzed and studied, together with its cryogenic treatment process and mechanism. The agreed procedure and the applicable mechanism of the deep cryogenic treatment of aluminum alloys ware discussed. Future research on cryogenic assembly and machining, as well as the theoretical results on the mechanism of existing cryogenic treatments is needed.
