ABSTRACT
Runway system capacity is limiting factor for the capacity of the airport and an overview of the need for additional airport capacity is obtained by its determination. The parameters influencing this capacity include: layout and the number of the RWYs, the operating mode on the RWY, parameters and structure of operated aircraft, structure and readiness of aircraft crews, training and skills of air traffic controllers, and weather conditions at the airport.
