The data flow and control flow are separated to avoid potential communication bottlenecks and centralisation.
Furthermore, the CGRA also has several characteristics that set them apart from other reconfigurable processors, such as fine-grainedFPGA. Firstly, CGRA is customisable domain-specific, generally having a high level of flexibility performance and power efficiency in one domain or a set of domains; secondly, it has the advantages of dynamic and partial reconfiguration and, the dynamic and partial reconfiguration can be very fast, since configuration codes are very short.
