ABSTRACT

Being healthy is of utmost importance in life. An ill person is not able to live life to its fullest extent. Being healthy makes you feel good and allows you to perform more efficiently and effectively. It also makes one more productive and happier. This chapter suggests an approach to predict whether a person is physically healthy or unhealthy using support vector machine classifier based on handwritten text. It extracts geometric features such as total number of left and right diagonal lines, total number of horizontal and vertical lines, total length of vertical and horizontal lines, total length of left and right diagonal lines, area of skeleton, and regional features such as orientation, major axis length, Euler, and extend from handwriting sample to check whether the writer is physically healthy or not. The proposed approach exhibits 75% accuracy.
