ABSTRACT
Because I wear a designer hat as well as a technical hat, it has taken me an embarrassingly long time to understand that the fact that you could generate something doesn’t mean that you should. While it is certainly possible to drive your creative goals from a technical idea, it is generally better to drive your technical ideas from a creative goal: Figure out what you want to achieve, then build that.
