ABSTRACT
A model is presented which describes the dynamics of a population of TH cells in response to infection with HIV. Preliminary results are presented concerning threshold criteria for the establishment of HIV. A second model is considered which describes the impact of a second replicating pathogen upon an established HIV infection, and, vice-versa, the effect of a new HIV infection upon a pre-existing, persistent infection.
