ABSTRACT

The world of journalism has also changed— from paper copies to online only, from a focus on news to a focus on intelligence and analysis, from national to increasingly international and global news. The medtech regulatory world is a relatively small community. Being a journalist in this community brings with it a sense of belonging and of responsibility to accurately report developments and inform those in medtech regulation. Being a journalist means offering a canvas to the sector on which its problems with the regulations and difficulties in their interpretation can be fairly represented for all to view and consider. One of the most stimulating challenges in medtech industry is the rapid technological change and the wide variety of different products and ways in which they work. While technology is changing, so is the world. With the Internet available almost globally, information is becoming so much easier to find.
