ABSTRACT

The aim of the paper is to present the results from testing the angular precision of 12 same total stations Trimble M3. The experimental testing was performed according to international standard ISO 17123-3. Test fields were built in the campus of the CTU in Prague. Full test procedure for horizontal directions and zenith angles was performed. The aim was to obtain a real measurement precision under normal atmospheric conditions. The measurements took place between November 2016 and March 2017. The result is a comparison of the experimental standard deviations of horizontal directions and zenith angles with the manufacturer’s standard deviation. The instruments are compared to each other and is determined which instrument is the most precise.
