ABSTRACT
Oxygen and air are almost synonymous in common speech. There is oxygen in air and the tendency is to give the matter little thought until the oxygen gets dangerously depleted within the small volume that one has to breathe. Only a chemist would call O2 “dioxygen” in normal conversation. I do not further use it in this paper.
