ABSTRACT

The first three kinds of impairments will be covered here. Voice or speech impairments do not usually influence web accessibility since regular web sites do not allow oral input. Cognitive impairments are also not covered here since they need more didactic than technical care — at least in web design. Thus, seeing, hearing, and haptical impairments will be covered in the following, whereas the focus lies on visual impairments, since web design heavily relies on visual presentation.
