ABSTRACT
Usability of medical devices is an important factor to influence quality of medical practice. Due to limited budgets, and particularly the cost of labor in some countries, physicians and nurses nowadays have to operate a large number of complex medical devices under time pressure. This increases their mental stress in work. Use errors might occur during this process, which could deteriorate the quality of diagnosis and therapy for patients and also the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare institutions.
