ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an overview of main characterisation techniques for emitter (transmitter) and detector (receiver) devices used in THz wireless links, focusing on free-space devices. The main sections cover basic metrology concepts, emitter frequency spectrum, emitter power; emitter beam profile, detector responsivity and detector spatial acceptance.
