ABSTRACT

Internet of Things (IoT) represents a system in which Internet-enabled devices will be connected in the virtual world. Billions of devices are expected to be connected through the Internet and interact among themselves for providing smart services to the end user. The services can be made further effective and beneficial by utilizing the extension of the IoT concept, which is Internet of Everything (IoE). Beside things or devices, IoE includes other components, which are people, data, and processes. Due to the accumulation of all these components, the amount of data generation in the IoE network will be more than that generated in the IoT network. This chapter focuses on the enabling technologies for IoE. The influence and possibilities of deployment of IoE in the application fields such as healthcare, smart grid, and education will also be reviewed in this chapter.
