ABSTRACT

The right set of information at the right time is the primary defining factor in decision making, specifically affecting the quality of decisions and their later impacts. It is a known fact that the technological advancement has always marked modification in businesses. With the enormous amount of data being generated, the internet of things (IoT) and big data (BD) have been widely used in businesses to make data-driven decisions to improve customer experience and generate revenue. This chapter discusses business analytics (BA) Applications through IoT, capturing the real-time data production, management, and analysis. The eventual objective of this framework is to give a comprehensive and detailed knowledge about the varied domains of IoT, BD and BA applications. The chapter further outlines the various advantages and disadvantages of the shift in business models. It further takes into account the effect of social IoT on the business process and a case study for the better understanding.
