ABSTRACT

Through data visualization one can understand the types of problems that numbers on their own cannot show. By visualizing, one wants to explore and comprehend the data. Also, graphing can help with the interpretation of patterns, tendencies, and distributions. Data visualization is a crucial tool for anyone who works with data. It is not, for any reason, an “aesthetic movement”; graphing is extremely useful. Nonetheless, for some people, data visualization is both a functional element for analysis and an aesthetic element for excellence. Data visualization is a language just like any other. The primary issue is to understand that visualization enables to explore the data and answer substantive questions of the investigation. This chapter discusses the ways to visualize different types of graphs with data from municipal re-election in Chile. The graph is separated by zones and regions to display the municipalities in Chile.
