ABSTRACT
The article describes the proposed method of formation of digital elevation models (DEM) by digital processing of raster satellite images containing altitude data. There is described algorithm of external orientation of the formed local DEM into the required coordinate system (Pulkovo-42). There are presented results of practical application of the algorithm of external orientation of the DEM for the territory of Donbass.
