ABSTRACT

Underground salt bed reservoirs are used for gas and liquid hydrocarbons storage in several regions of Russia and the near abroad. The article presents technological solutions for the elimination of leaks in the annular casing space of a salt well. Studies of the basic properties of a lightweight plugging solution are described. The basic requirements to the plugging solution for the installation of a cement bridge are defined. Studies of polymer dispersion are given based on the results of which a new component composition of the displacement fluid is proposed. The measures for intermediate bridge installation in the open hole of the technological well are proposed. The scheme for installation of a two-layer cement bridge is presented.

The application of recommendations based on the results of studies of displacement fluid and plugging solutions compositions as well as the developed technologies for their use in carrying out well repairs will help increase the service life of underground reservoirs in rock salt.
