ABSTRACT

Nowadays, the relevant task is to increase the useful life, reliability and efficiency of vessels working under pressure. The condition of pressure vessels that have worked for long periods is determined by the degree of development of defects formed during operation in welded joints and steel sheet elements. Due to the long useful life of vessels and devices, and the increasing accident rate of failures connected with the formation of operational defects in metal, the routine technical inspection of the structure becomes insufficient due to the large intervals between surveys and the use of outdated local control methods (Homera 2015-Chernyak 1975).
