ABSTRACT

This chapter explains support Digital Health leaders to make and defend critical strategic decisions as they navigate the lifecycle of a broad range of potential Digital Health Apps (DHA) businesses. While this lifecycle can be summarized as a simple series of stages, each represents a set of standing activities generally occurring both continuously and in parallel. Digital Health Strategy is forward-looking and cross-functional. Digital Health leaders and teams are generally required to make and defend key decisions about how their lifecycle will progress and how they will achieve success at the earliest stages of the conception of the business. The Target Value Proposition Decision creates the “North Star” for a DHA business, shaping its overall direction and how it addresses other strategic decisions. The Build Strategy for a DHA product addresses the Product Surface Area Decision and a series of Build vs. Buy Decisions.
