ABSTRACT

The issue of business models is currently one of the leading subjects in management sciences. Researchers dealing with this subject focus mainly on terminology, components, and architecture of business models. The innovations are also important trends in these considerations. Taking into account the essence of the business model, it should be noted that market success in modern economic conditions is indispensably associated with continuous verification of the model used. The business model is subject to constant changes and needs to be adapted to market conditions. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss, based on the literature studies, the concepts of innovative solutions in business models. Theoretical nature of the analysis imposes two important diagnostic requirements related to the problem research procedure. The first is the need to present the theoretical basis for the significance of examined issues of innovation in business models, and the second is the determination of main directions for innovative activities.
