ABSTRACT

Housing and its inhabitant’s data are also collected from indicators about secure tenure, access to services, habitability, location and culture, grouped housing and basic services dimensions, but these have differences in developing and developed countries. Habitability and health could be the result of energy efficiency in a house, but the analysis has demonstrated the need for a clear methodology to identify the factors that contribute to achieving sustainability. This chapter examines the role of a house through a review of topics that address environmental conditions, climate change, energy consumption, housing and the health of its occupants. Influencing factors such as climate conditions, limited energy resources and disease, produce effects on household actions. Regulating or controlling internal conditions for energy-saving purposes is strategies that have been validated and implemented in indoor environments.
