ABSTRACT

Teaching structure courses to architecture students is one of the most challenging aspects in academia. The concept of flipped classrooms has been used as a worthy experiment to better educate the students since 2007. This research considered the flipped classrooms used for architecture students. The flipped classroom was tested with an introductory static structures course and an advanced concrete structures course. The results were analyzed and discussed to conclude how to educate architecture students more effectively and improve teaching and studying structures at the university level.
