ABSTRACT

The article explores the potential use of paper-based products to create partition wall systems for residential buildings. The importance of designing and building flexible living spaces results from the changing spatial needs in our homes as well as from the increased mobility of people in last decades. Buildings perceived as long-lasting structures should meet these needs. Designing in line with the Open Building concept breaks new ground for the use of eco-friendly and recyclable materials in architecture. Products such as corrugated cardboard or cardboard honeycomb panels show great potential for application in this field.
