ABSTRACT
The Maquiladora Health & Safety Support Network (MHSSN) is an ongoing collaboration of over 300 volunteers who donate time and energy toward the improvement of occupational safety and health for thousands of Mexican workers. With few enforced regulations and a shortage of human and financial resources, MHSSN provides ongoing support and assistance to reduce risks to workers. Through a variety of programs working together in areas such as training, development of unions and nongovernmental organizations, regulatory affairs, education, and labor–management relations, MHSSN has contributed to improved working conditions in countries around the world.
