ABSTRACT

Workplace Health Without Borders (WHWB) is a grassroots volunteer organization that has grown to over 1,000 active members collaborating on occupational safety and health educational and research projects worldwide. The goal of the organization is to improve workers’ health globally and expand awareness of occupational hygiene practice and principles to prevent and reduce workplace disease. Through the absence of weighty organizational bureaucracy and effective use of low-cost telecommunication methods, and the dependence on work by the expansive volunteer network, WHWB has been able to achieve remarkable reach and success in achieving its goals.
