ABSTRACT

Return to more compact cities, own of the pedestrian movement, a transit-oriented development (TOD) all must be promoted as a model of urban design, in particular for the areas around the railway stations. The design of these areas requires a balance between the intermodal characteristics of the node and the characteristics of intensity and proximity of functions in the place, according to a relationship of micro and macro-accessibility. Through an integration of the different node-place models, the present contribution focuses on the multi-criteria analysis of urban projects and dynamics generated in the area of HSR stations, both in the transformation of the existing ones and in the context of the construction ex-novo. The analysis aims to evaluate stations according to aspects of urban planning and design: location, intermodality, land use and accessibility.
