ABSTRACT
There are different classes of nanomaterials, according to the composition and morphology they present. After giving a general but concise classification, this chapter focuses on their main physical and chemical properties. Thus, the following sections discuss succinctly, the electrical, optical, thermal, magnetic, mechanical, and chemical properties, intending to give the reader an overview of the most relevant characteristics to consider when working with diverse nanomaterials.
