ABSTRACT

There are many challenging factors like weeds, pests, pathogens that have an adverse effect on production. In order to save the crops from these harmful species, a number of crop protection strategies are employed. Chemical control is one of the most widely used strategies because of its ease of application. But the use of these chemicals in long run degrades the environment. The use of cultural and physical methods can reduce chemical use. Biopesticides are proven to be an effective natural source product against harmful organisms. These nature-based products and organic methods are needed to be incorporated into the agricultural production system in long run for sustainable agriculture.
