ABSTRACT
This chapter briefly introduces the composition of the air source heat pump water heating system and its indoor terminals. The household low temperature air source heat pump (water chilling) package is taken for example to illustrate the application of the variable volume ratio two-stage compression heat pump technology, including the system configuration and the corresponding control strategies. What's more, the heating performances of the variable volume ratio two-stage compression heat pump system are compared with those of the conventional two-stage compression heat pump system and the single-stage compression heat pump system under various operating conditions.
