ABSTRACT

The new age generation needs a dynamic global network infrastructure that is realized using interconnecting numerous physical and virtual “things.” The dynamic requirement of the network leads to a new prototype known as the Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of information technology. Interfacing software and hardware for IoT is a challenging task. There are so many technical issues in connecting the physical devices together, and making these physical devices work in collaboration to form a network is again quite a challenge. Some major challenges in the arena of IoT are big data analytics, data security, and privacy concerns, fundamental infrastructure requirements for IoT, real-time processing and accessing of data, time complexity of IoT devices and human body interaction with the networking devices. Various researches across the world have proposed different methodologies to tackle these issues, which compare different problem-solving techniques, analyze, design and propose various algorithms. This chapter presents an exhaustive survey of these challenges, issues and possible solutions.
