ABSTRACT

Water, as an irreplaceable resource continuously on the move, is brought to our attention. A river and its tributaries are explored as a dynamic network in which we are exposed to interconnectivity of freshwater within Earth’s biophysical system. Emphasis is on the complexity of tracking water’s pathways, rates of movement, and storage. Adding to the complications are both the geopolitics of water when it crosses international borders and the crucial decisions that determine how water will be allocated.
