ABSTRACT
Agriculture is a series of processes carried out by blending four elements, that is, soil, water, air and fire, and by harmonizing the production factors of nature, labour, capital and entrepreneurship. A paradigm shift in agricultural practices is essential for Turkey’s future. The name of the new paradigm is “sustainable agricultural bioeconomy” and intensive and determined efforts are being made to foster this paradigm. Because of this paradigm thanks to Turkey for the world not to compete with products which can be manufactured and sold everywhere, markets will be able to produce competitive products with high potential and brand value. This chapter details Turkey’s agricultural sector, which has the potential to become a valuable sector in meeting global demands.
