After utilizing the effluent in the form of any of these products, the pollution load in the effluent would be decreased and could be used for irrigation. Soil type and crop requirement should be considered, and the effluent should be treated if required. In assessing effluent quality criteria, it is imperative that the nature of soil and groundwater should be considered.
