Water Quality Improvement: Use of Indigenous Plant Materials

Nowadays, the use of seed materials and aquatic plants are receiving considerable attention for the effective use of water treatment process. The available technologies should be easy to implement and useful for the rural people. The treatment process uses natural plant materials; therefore, it does not generate any non-treatable waste from this process. The process should require little or no maintenance cost and easily operable. The plant materials as coagulants in future can be obtained from algae or chitosan, but the dosages should be the main focus during the water treatment.
