ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates the impact of different types of water on emitter clogging in Brambe village of Mandar block in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. The characterization of water was done for various water quality parameters. The pH for wastewater (WW) was lower than pond water but for ground-water, it was moderate. The EC, Fe+2, Ca+2, Mg+2, CO3 −2, HCO3 , DO, BOD, and COD values were higher for WW. The fluctuations of the emitters flow rate, DRV, and CU were extremely high. DWs and EPS were higher in case of WW when compared to pond water and groundwater.
