ABSTRACT

To face the challenges of moral degradation in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 requires not only academic skills of an educator, but also nonacademic skills. Nonacademic skills of an educator are very important in the efforts to minimize the moral degradation of students in Industrial Revolution 4.0. The purpose of this research is to deeply examine the nonacademic skills required by a Pancasila and civic education teacher in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 both theoretically and practically. This research used qualitative methods consisting of observation, interview, documentation, and literature review as the data collection techniques. The literature review was done on articles published in 15 national and international indexed journals (Sinta 1–Sinta 4). The data were grouped and analyzed. The use of different data collection techniques in this study aimed to obtain valid data through data triangulation. The results of the research are presented in descriptive forms. The results show that the nonacademic skills of Pancasila and civic education teachers in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 are very important to instill to minimize moral degradation among students. The skills include flexibility, sociability, leadership, innovation, and productivity.
