ABSTRACT

This study aimed to investigate the students’ perceptions and expectations on the ideal learning design for the Z generation. This was qualitative research that collected data to answer various research questions. Forty-five students in Banten, Indonesia, were interviewed to collect the data, which were analyzed using content analysis, as proposed by Miles & Huberman. The findings showed that students (1) had specific learning characteristics, (2) expected specific learning scenarios that met their characteristics, and (3) required the support from the university to achieve the expected learning condition.
