ABSTRACT

The focus of this research is the effectiveness of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) planning, the effectiveness of the CPD implementation, and the effectiveness of the CPD follow-up in the Kumbokarno Cluster, Karangtengah Sub-District, Demak Regency. The data sources were elementary school teachers, school principals, and administrators of teacher working groups who have S1 academic qualifications and are certified. This was a phenomenological qualitative study. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. They were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the CPD planning in the Kumbokarno Cluster was effectively made, the CPD implementation was effective, and the CPD follow-up was not effectively done. It is recommended that the CPD be carried out completely on planning, implementation, and follow-up in order to improve the quality of education.
