ABSTRACT

This era of the industrial revolution provides opportunities for teachers to promote learning in the classroom using the interactive GeoGebra as one of the information and communications technology (ICT)-based learning tools. GeoGebra practice a is a community service activity for teachers that aims (1) to increase the knowledge and ability of teachers in the Cipta Cendekia Indonesia Primary School (SDIT CCI) in using the GeoGebra software; (2) to provide training, counseling, and mentoring on realistic mathematics c based learning media, such as geometry learning media, by using GeoGebra software; and (3) to help teachers explain abstract concepts that may support students in the understanding of concepts. The subjects of the study were 25 primary school teachers at SDIT CCI. Results of interviews and questionnaires indicated that (1) a stimulus community partnership program activity can be conducted based on the purposes of the service; (2) all participants were engaged in the learning process as signaled by regular attendance during the activities; (3) all participants were able to create projects in GeoGebra; and (4) the pedagogic abilities of the primary school teachers of CCI are improved.
