ABSTRACT

Implementing peer assessment to improve students’ speaking skills can bring students to a new kind of classroom situation. The study described in this article aimed to investigate the use of peer assessment in improving students’ speaking skills. Previous research in the same field is compared to generate information on peer assessment and speaking skills. The findings showed that teachers can use peer assessment as a technique to make speaking activities more enjoyable in the classroom situation. It is expected that this study can help the teachers enhance their students’ speaking skills through peer assessment.
