ABSTRACT

Recently, a considerable literature has grown up around the theme of mobile-assisted language learning (MALL). It has been claimed to play an important role in enhancing students’ listening and speaking skills. Memrise is one of the most widely used platforms in MALL. Several attempts have been made to use Memrise as a way of learning a foreign language that can support the learning process in a classroom. The study described in this article aimed to investigate the impact of using Memrise to promote students’ speaking and listening skills. It was done by combining information from relevant journals. Finally, the article proposes suggestions for both applications and users in using Memrise to maximize the mastery of language skills.
