ABSTRACT
Wattpad is a popular application that is used not only for reading but also for writing stories. For some students who have difficulties in writing, using Wattpad helps them improve their writing skills effectively. Wattpad provides thousands of books from various genres,most of which are stories products of creative writing. Creative writing is a literary form based on the writer’s imagination as the source of the stories. In addition, students who use Wattpad can share their stories and then get feedback directly from the other users critiquing the story created. Sharing the experiences and reading the others’ stories might help students to improve their skills, either in writing or critical thinking. In this article, the authors discuss the effectiveness of using Wattpad to improvestudents’ writing and critical thinking skills through creative writing.
