ABSTRACT

Power transmission is a topic of study that requires the use of computational tools. Hence, it is very important to learn how to use one of the most widely used computational tools worldwide: the ATPdraw program. In this direction, Chapter 1 mainly focuses on explaining the basic models used in ATPdraw that are related to transmission lines. Chapter 1 begins by explaining the basic resolution algorithms used in ATPdraw. After the models of resistors, inductors, capacitors, and transmission lines are presented. The chapter continues to present current source models for lightning representation. It concludes with an example of circuit simulation in ATPdraw explained step-by-step and also explains an example of using the LCC routine.
