ABSTRACT
Heavy metal contamination is exceeding the limit due to different industrial activities and mismanaged agricultural practices. The xenobiotics introduced by different industries are a major concern of the hour. The contaminated brownfields are increasing in the world and it is important to clear these contaminated lands. Different land clearing strategies aid to recover a contaminated land. In the past years, majority of the clearing programs were mainly implemented by government agencies. But due to lack of innovations, technology, experts and investment, it would be difficult for the government to meet the target. Therefore, each and every industry has the responsibility to manage the wastes produced from their own industry. For this, introduction of new technologies is crucial, and thus, introduction of new firms in the field of phytoremediation is essential. The major objective of this work is the introduction of different industries such as Exxon, Chevron, Monsanto, Phytotech, Pond tech, Biofuel NET, SUEZ group in the field of phytoremediation.
