ABSTRACT
Latest research by Forbes magazine suggests that the number of global wireless devices may exceed 24 billion by the end of this decade. A new development is required to meet the demand for accurate and effective transfer of data over such devices In the coming years, modern communications will be totally controlled by 5G. As the development of cellular operators will predominantly be impacted by high-resolution video, and as people all over the world will be connected, 5G will present greater efficiency and 10 GB/s of network bandwidth. 5G technology will contribute to the development of multiple businesses, ranging from media and agriculture to IT and manufacturing. The research in this chapter focuses on the detailed analysis of cognitive radio, small cells, and IoT in the advancement of 5G mobile communications.
