ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to pinpoint the importance and success of enhancing the learning experience in online mode by augmented reality and virtual reality in a real-time environment to perceive and understand the significance of computer-assisted learning. This chapter aims to describe how augmented and virtual reality can be introduced to, strengthen, and enhance the learning experience. The research is based on various research papers and articles to understand how learning with augmented reality and virtual reality can transform a student’s knowledge around the globe. All these methods and factors are compared and contrasted to create opportunities to point out research gaps. Augmented reality (AR) has elements of education that promote the development of skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and growth to better train students for the future. For conventional pedagogy, which relies on technological skills and talents, is often helpful. As information communication technologies (ICT) rapidly transform the environment, many individuals are interested in how virtual reality can influence learning. In educating the students and exposing them to complex topics that are more easily clarified through ICT and immersive technologies.
